Use of Smombie Guard

Within the first 3 days after installation SmombieSoft checks the expiration of the test phase. For this purpose the following information is transmitted to SmombieSoft in encrypted form and stored: device ID, language. This transfer will stop as soon as the trial period has expired or the app has been purchased.

In Protection for my child mode, creating an account is recommended to control Smombie Guard remotely and to be notified by email if your child uninstalls the app. The creation of an account is not mandatory and can be skipped. When an account is created, SmombieSoft stores the following data: e-mail address, checksum of the selected PIN, language. The account can be linked to multiple smartphones (e.g. a child's). For each linked smartphone the following data is stored on smombieguard.com: device ID, version, model, name (optional, if specified), status. The account can be deleted at any time on smombieguard.com. Use of the remote control may require the consent of the child or user of the remote-controlled smartphone. When setting up a user account, as well as for the rest, personal data is only collected if the user voluntarily informs us of this. SmombieSoft uses communicated data without separate consent exclusively to fulfil and process the use of the app.

Troubleshooting

If an error occurs with Smombie Guard, we would be very happy about your support. If necessary, we may ask you to send us logs, which must first be activated in the Troubleshooting menu. If logging is enabled, program flows are cached on the SD card in the /Android/data/en.smombiesoft.smombieguard folder. With the menu item Delete logs they can be removed again. If the setting Crash reports is activated in the Troubleshooting menu (default), the following information is transmitted encrypted to smombieguard.de in case of a crash of the app, but is immediately deleted after viewing: Crash report, device manufacturer, device model, app version, language.
